Exclusive: OpenAI summarizes KDnuggets - KDnuggets
OpenAI has recently published an important work, focused on the alignment problem, the problem of ensuring that general-purpose AI and machine learning systems align with human intentions. The "Paperclip Maximizer" is a famous example of alignment gone wrong. To test scalable alignment methods, OpenAI trained a model to summarize entire books, as described in their blog on KDnuggets: Scaling human oversight of AI systems for difficult tasks – OpenAI approach. OpenAI model works by first summarizing small sections of a book, then summarizing those summaries into a higher-level summary, and so on. The results were pretty amazing, so we have asked OpenAI to summarize two top KDnuggets blogs from last year, and here are the summaries.

Machine learning is being used to predict price patterns more easily. However, some of these changes are not as welcome. Machine learning is making cryptocurrencies easier to trace.
A Big Data Approach for Sequences Indexing on the Cloud via Burrows Wheeler Transform
Randazzo, Mario, Rombo, Simona E.
Precision Medicine aims to design individualized strategies for diagnostic or therapeutic decision-making, based on both genotypic and phenotypic information. It allows scientists and clinicians to understand which therapeutic and preventive approaches to a specific illness can work effectively in subgroups of patients based on their genetic makeup, lifestyle, and environmental factors [15]. The diffusion of high-throughput assays, such as next-generation sequencing (NGS) and mass spectrometry (MS), has led to fast accumulation of sequences and other omics data which can be used to enable Precision Medicine in practice. As an example, specific disease biomarkers may be identified by cleaning up raw data generated by NGS or MS, and then experimentally validated in laboratory. An important problem in this context is the indexing of NGS data [8].

Top 10 Big Data Technologies You Must Know In 2020
One of the most evolving technologies in the digital age is Big Data technologies. It's not a popular term, but Big Data is simply a term that is used to describe a collection of data that is huge in size and is exponentially increasing in time. It means that this data is so large that none of the traditional management tools are able to analyze, store or process it. Big Data is not just simply a term. It is associated with other technologies such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, blockchain, Internet of Things, augmented reality and a whole lot more.

Transforming Healthcare with Big Data, 5G and Surgical Robots Analytics Insight
The healthcare sector in recent times has witnessed more technological innovations such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Robotic Surgery, among others. As, in one side, big data is very significant in the healthcare and enabling patient information more shareable safely and precisely, on the other hand, robots are assisting medical personnel by discharging from routine tasks, making medical procedures safer and less costly for patients. With the help of big data, a huge amount of information can be stored systematically. Today, doctors and other healthcare practitioners can make informed decisions because they have access to a wide range of data. Conversely, AI is now increasingly helping to improve robot-assisted surgery. The technology is already being utilized to identify diseases more precisely and in their early stages, such as cancer.
